It’s Holy Week, I’m sitting in my office thinking about resurrection.  I know, I know, we haven’t even made it through Good Friday yet.  I can’t help it.  I will focus on Christ’s death fully on Good Friday, but today this whole week seems to be mashed together for me.  Death, Denial, Betrayal, Resurrection…they are all hitting me simultaneously, and right now, I am thinking mostly about resurrection.

Resurrection:

that one word that makes all the difference.

The one word, that in the midst of skepticism confirms what we suspect:

“This is not all there is!”

The one word, that in the midst of a world of death and suffering  shakes its fist and triumphantly says:

“O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”

The one word, that in the midst of it all says:

“Things will never be the same!”
