This summer marks the 10th anniversary of our students and leaders serving in Belize. When we started this journey 10 years ago, we had no idea how important this trip would become to us and to a small church in Orange Walk. God has been incredibly faithful. We have walked through ups and downs with El Buen Pastor and have tried to serve with them faithfully. We are extremely excited that we will have the opportunity to continue our ministry this summer.

While not every one of you has been able to go, every one of you who has ever bought a car wash ticket, eaten an overpriced pancake breakfast, raised an auction paddle, bid on a silent item, or prayed for us, you have gone with us in spirit as we have served.

We need your help again

We’ve been doing the student ministry mission auction the same way for the last 12-15 years. We think it’s time for a refresh, so that is what we are going to do. This year we are doing things a little different, and we think it’s going to be great and that you’ll love it too.

Here is what we’re up to:

Instead of dividing our auction into a silent and live portion with small bites of food throughout, we have decided to have a mostly silent auction, followed by a sit-down, full dinner with a few live items and a program for you to learn more about our work in Belize over the past ten years. The silent auction will still have lots of great items in all price ranges, and everything is still free to attend, including the dinner, although we will ask for you to support our students financially during the dinner.

Here is the schedule for the evening:

  •  5:00 PM Silent Auction
  • 6:00 PM Dinner Program & Limited Live Items
  • 7:30 PM Fini

We think that the opportunity to eat a delicious meal around the table with friends, bidding on great silent items, hearing stories about our ministry in Belize, and supporting our students makes for a really fun evening as a church community. We hope you consider joining us.

If you would be so kind and RSVP (even though the event is free) to help us plan for food costs, we’d sure appreciate it.
