Celebration Banquet:

On November 14, 2010 we celebrated the culmination of the BOLFG campaign with an all-church thanksgiving banquet.  This catered meal, which followed a single worship service, allowed everyone to participate in the celebration of this campaign.  Here are some pictures from that wonderful day.

     

Together at Table

The second goal of our Building Our Lives for God campaign is: Developing fellowship and unity within John Knox Presbyterian Church. And Acts 2:42 says, “They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”

The Building Our Lives for God Steering Team, along with the Community Life Ministry Team, is introducing what we call “Together at Table,” a very informally organized way to share time together over a meal, hopefully allowing new folks as well as long-time JKPC people to meet and make some new friends. Several people have agreed to be meal hosts, and will provide a main dish and beverage and get their group organized once it is formed. Our thought is to do this during April-June. 

Beginning this Sunday, you may sign up under a group/host to attend one of the Together at Table times and bring a part of the meal. We would suggest that you sign up with a group where you haven't shared a meal together with the other group members. You can know the others, but just never have shared a meal together. Some meal dates and times will include children and some will not. Our hope would be that once a meal time has been shared together, someone from the group would be willing to host a second gathering at a later date & time.
