CHRISTMAS IN COMMUNITY
COME JOIN JOHN KNOX COMMUNITY PRESCHOOL AND CELEBRATE
On Saturday, December 7th, the JKCP will present the nativity story, as only three and four-year-olds can do, with two performances at 2:30PM and 4pm, each followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall. Our purpose is to share the joy of Christmas while raising funds for the tuition assistance program and support of our preschool. To make this event welcoming, we are asking for donations of bite-sized dessert items for the receptions and for a couple of volunteers to assist the kitchen manager with set-up and the receptions. If you are available for either, please contact Kristine Jung at firstname.lastname@example.org or Melody Fuchigami at email@example.com. If you wish to support the preschool and the tuition assistance program, please direct your donation to the John Knox Community Preschool (JKCP).

PREPARING FOR THE LONGEST NIGHT
A TIME OF WORSHIP FOR COMFORT, HOPE & HEALING
Even during this season of anticipation and joy we recognize those, both in our midst, and around the world, who are in pain, suffering loss, and brokenhearted. On Friday, December 20, in preparation for the longest night of the year, we are offering an open time of reflection and prayer in the Chapel from Noon – 6:00pm for our church community to mourn with and for the broken-hearted during this season. Resources will be provided for self-guided prayer and reflection, as well as someone available to pray with or for you if you wish. We pray that this time and space will offer comfort, hope, and healing to those in need.
