CELEBRATING WORLD COMMUNION SUNDAY
OCTOBER 6 AT BOTH SERVICES
The first Sunday in October is designated as World Communion Sunday, which celebrates our oneness in Christ with all our brothers and sisters around the world. To celebrate, we are joining with Igeslia Misión Hispana for bilingual services that morning. Come experience being the body of Christ together!
CHRISTIAN FORMATION CLASSES OFFERED
OCTOBER 6 – NOVEMBER 10 FROM 9:45AM-10:15AM
We willl be offering three classes during our 6 week Christian Formation time:
1. A class featuring a different Global or Local Mission Partner each week (Multipurpose Room). On October 6, Chet Thomas, Executive Director of Proyecto Aldea Global (Honduras) will be our featured mission partner.
2. A class on the Gospel of Mark taught by Pastor Jon, Carys Parker & Peter Watson (Youth Center)
3. A class on Ephesians using Mark Roberts’s commentary taught by Dave Duke (Chapel)
Children under 4 years of age will be in the Nursery during this time. Kids in Kindergarten-5th grades will be in Room 2.

Becoming a member of a local church is an important part of following Jesus. Church membership is a covenant relationship that bonds us to the people of God locally and nationally. Join us in the Multipurpose Room on October 6, 13, & 20 at 11:45am and learn about what it means to be Presbyterian, and, if you desire, become a member here at John Knox. Classes are hosted by JK Connect team and taught by Pastor Shari and Pastor Jon, along with several elders, deacons, and members preparing for ordained ministry as pastors.
