Here’s an advanced look at what’s in the 5 Things for this coming Sunday.

COME SHARE IDEAS FOR LOCAL SERVICE AND MINISTRY
TODAY, JUNE 30 AT 10:45AM IN THE SANCTUARY (NEW LOCATION)
JKPC is hosting an opportunity for you to share your ideas and thoughts about ways that we as a church can better serve and minister to our local community. We want to hear about the things that God has placed on your heart, to serve the people in our area. We also want to hear about what sort of training or preparation you want to become better equipped for ministry and leadership. Please join us as we explore the possibilities.

WELCOME CARYS AND MICHAEL
JK SUMMER INTERNS
This summer, JKPC has the privilege of having two interns working with our JK Students department. Carys Parker and Michael Cerfogli will be working to connect with young people throughout this summer. You can reach them at intern@jkpcusa.org if you want to connect with them.

IT’S TIME TO NOMINATE OFFICERS FOR THE POSITIONS OF
ELDER, DEACON & CONGREGATIONAL NOMINATING COMMITTEE MEMBER
Each year, John Knox elects new Elders, Deacons and Congregational Nominating Committee members. The Nominating Committee is asking the congregation to submit recommendations for these positions. If you know of anyone who would be good for these positions, please let us know by submitting a recommendation form. There are specific qualifications for the offices and specific guidelines for submitting names that are included on the forms. There is a different form for each of the position that are available from the Welcome Center. You can also nominate someone online at https://johnknox.life/officer-nominations. Deadline for the submission of nominations is Sunday, July 14. If you have any question, please contact Dan Mendes (chair), BJ Bell, Larry Bjork, Dave Duke, Mike Fuchigami, Russ Jones, Erin Nordman, or Ashley Wainscott. Thank you for participating in the life of John Knox!

RECEPTION FOR MARCUS AND CARLA SNEDEKER
SUNDAY, JULY 7 AFTER WORSHIP IN THE ATRIUM
Marcus and Carla are long-time JK Mission Partners serving with New Tribes Missions PNC/Ethos 360 in Papua New Guinea. They are on furlough this year and we are blessed to have them with us to share what God’s been doing in their lives and ministry. The JK Go: Give & Send team is hosting the reception for the Snedekers on July 7 and could use donations of fruit and baked goods (breads/cookies). Contact Helen Grayson, hgrayson49@gmail.com or 206-295-3779 by Wednesday, July 3 if you are able to help. Thanks!

RAISE THE ROOF
REMEMBER TO FILL OUT YOUR PLEDGE CARD
Our congregation is raising $500,000 to pay for the upgrades and repairs that will be needed over the next five years to keep our campus functional and ready to serve future generations. The good news is that our reserves, designated gifts, and pledges from your current and past church leaders already total $265,000, putting us over halfway to our goal. We still need your help to finish the rest. We’ve got information on the other projects we’re looking forward to finishing over the next few years along with details about how everyone can participate in this campaign. There will be a table with information set up in the Atrium today to provide you with more information, answer your questions, and provide an opportunity to pledge your support. Please help us RAISE THE ROOF!
