JK STUDENTS MINISTRY
Our JK Students Ministry has been forced to adjust to the Covid-19 Pandemic, similar to every other area of our Church. I wanted to take a moment to let everyone know about some of the possibilities for the Middle School, High School and College-aged students at JKPC that have been happening and will be coming up.
For Middle School students, we have been hosting game nights on Zoom on Tuesday evenings. This is a time for the students to connect with one another, play some games and stay in touch during this season.
For our High School students, we have been hosting Wed. night Youth Group on Zoom at 7 PM. We play a game, sing some songs, look at the Bible and pray for one another each week. Our Elder for Student Ministries, Thatcher Kelley, has also been leading a Bible Study on Zoom on Tuesdays at 3 PM.
For our College-aged students, Carys Parker, our intern for the summer, is setting up some times to connect for Bible Study and fellowship.
If you know of any students in these age-ranges that might be interested in joining, e-mail me, Pastor Jon, at Jon@jkpcusa.org. If you want to get on our text message list, also, e-mail me and I will add you. Throughout this summer, we will be responding to the phased re-opening plans for our County and adjusting appropriately. Our priorities are keeping students safe and keeping them connected, as we learn to follow Jesus. So, as restrictions begin to loosen, be on the look-out for plans we will announce for safe, thoughtful interaction.
Finally, if you’d like to pray for this ministry and for our students, e-mail me also and I can give you specific prayer requests.
Thank you, JKPC, for supporting student ministries and caring for the students God has placed within our community!
