THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING TO THE CALL…  

At the midpoint of the summer, we informed you that our church was operating at a deficit in terms of congregational giving relative to actual ministry expenses. It was highlighted that the deficit was so great as to impact our church’s cash reserves, our ability to cover fixed monthly expenses including payroll costs. You were invited to face this challenge, to heed the leading of the Spirit and to respond in grace and gratitude.

Thank you for heeding and answering the call to live out the stewardship way of life. As the year-to-date financial summary indicates below, together in response to God’s blessings we are making great strides in terms of closing the gap between giving and expenses. In the span of six weeks, our deficit has been reduced by almost 50% and our cash flow balance is more secure.

As we head into the final months of the year, let us continue to close the gap, to align what we offer in our giving with what we have been called to exercise, to spend in terms of ministry. Thank you for continuing to be generous, to respond out of gratitude and most of all, for your ongoing commitment to and participation in what God is doing in and through John Knox.
