HOLY WEEK AT HOME
LITURGIES TO CELEBRATE CHRIST’S PASSION, DEATH, & RESURRECTION
At JKPC we celebrate the Triduum – or “The Three Days” – beginning Maundy Thursday and ending on Easter Sunday. These three days recall the passion, death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We have created liturgies to help you celebrate these three days at home – by yourself or with your family. We hope these liturgies will be meaningful for you and help to prepare you to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord on Easter Sunday! Liturgies for Maundy Thursday (April 9), Good Friday (April 10), and Easter Sunrise (April 12) will be made available through Realm and johnknox.life.
EASTER SUNDAY ONLINE WORSHIP
SUNDAY, APRIL 12 AT 10:30 AM
Join us online on Sunday, April 12 at 10:30 AM as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord! We encourage you to invite friends and family to join us from their homes for this joyful and unique online worship experience. The link to Easter Sunday Online Worship will be available at www.jkpcusa.org, Realm, and JKPC’s YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
CHRISTIAN FORMATION AFTER EASTER?
After Easter, JKPC will be hosting Christian Formation seminars. We will have our on-line Membership Exploration class, which will help those interested understand what church membership is and the covenantal relationship of church membership. For information on Membership Exploration, e-mail Pastor Shari at Shari@jkpcusa.org. We will also be offering an on-line seminar on the reading and interpretation of the Bible. For information on this seminar, e-mail Pastor Jon at Jon@jkpcua.org.
JKPC VIRTUAL ART EXHIBIT
WHERE ARE YOU SEEING NEW LIFE?
As we prepare to celebrate the Easter Season, we are creating a Virtual Art Exhibit around the theme “Alive.” Where are you seeing new life in this unusual season? What brings you hope? Where do you find beauty? We invite folks of ALL ages to submit one original work of art (painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, poetry, song, etc.) based on the theme of “Alive” to be considered for the Virtual Art Exhibit. To submit an entry, send a photo of your work of visual art, a recording of your song, or a digital copy of your writing, along with your name, medium, and a short description of the piece. All submissions and questions can be sent to email@example.com. The deadline for submissions is Monday, April 20.
